We had a lovely dinner and chat at the River Arms in Ulverstone and Tuesday is now set. We will have a look at the National Museum of Australia which is at Acton right near the University (very handy for anyone staying at University House) and possibly the National Film and Sound Archives which is between the University and the Museum.
A couple of the attendees have said they will arrive in Canberra early on the Sunday and go to Cockington Green on the Monday (charming old style miniature village and gardens) so if you want to join the other garden lovers feel free.
Floriade will be over but the flowers will still be blooming in Commonwealth Park (along the lake edge opposite the old Parliament House) and Canberra is very pretty this time of year.
I'm off to Canberra in a week and a half for my work experience and will post more after I have arrived and settled in.
