I have booked a table at Gus's Cafe in Civic for our dinner on 3/11/08. Gus's is the oldest outdoor cafe in Canberra and one of the most popular. I went there at 10.00am on a Saturday morning and the place was packed. The time dinner is booked for is 7.00pm. We are outside (booking officer advised this was more sought after area) and whilst most evenings here at the moment are perfectly find outside in a shirt (it was 28 degrees yesterday) it can be a bit chilly in the evenings and a jacket/wrap may be needed.
Below is a link with a little information and access to a map so you can find it. It has parking quite close (you do have to pay for it though it is cheap after 6pm) and there are buses/taxis available if you would prefer.
